About

Josh Kay

Josh Kay writes ActNowASD. He is a parent, not a clinician.

What that means for the pages here

ActNowASD is not a hospital, a clinic, or a credentialed medical practice, and nothing on it replaces a conversation with your child's own doctor or therapist. Naming the person who writes the pages does not change that — it tells you who to hold to account for the words, not who to take medical advice from.

Every health page names its sources — clinical guidelines, published research, or government data — in a “Where this comes from” section, and carries a reviewed date. Where a page discusses a decision with real medical weight, it says so plainly and points to the people who can actually advise you.

What a reviewed date means, and what it does not

Until a page credits an individual reviewer by name, treat its reviewed date as an editorial check that the page still matches its cited sources — not as clinical sign-off. No page on this site currently carries a named clinical reviewer, and none claims to.

Why this page is short

Because everything on it has to be true and checkable. There is no qualification listed here, and no professional body, because there is none to list. What there is: a named person, the sources behind every number, and a date on each page telling you when it was last checked.

More on how the site is put together, how the directories stay free of paid placement, and how the connection forms work is on the about page.
