  • Family Support Specialists are peer parents themselves, each also a Certified Community Health Worker.
  • Parent to Parent is a five-week training series for parents of children newly diagnosed with autism, alongside a Starting Point Training covering communication, sensory integration, independent work systems, problem solving and positive behaviour supports.
  • Family Connections caregiver support groups meet monthly in South County, Central Rhode Island/Johnston and the East Bay, with a separate Grand Connections group for grandparents.
  • Its Respite Programme gives each qualifying autistic child or young adult 200 hours of caregiving support per year.
