Rhode Island Parent Information Network is a statewide non-profit, founded in 1991 by parents of children with additional needs, that helps parents, families and professionals navigate special education, disability services, and healthcare and health insurance, including for autistic children.
Ages All ages, infants to seniors
The Autism Project's Family Support Team offers systems navigation, education, coaching, advocacy and emotional support, delivered by peer parents who are also Certified Community Health Workers. It also runs a five-week training series for newly diagnosed families, monthly caregiver support groups, and a Respite Programme giving each qualifying child 200 hours of care a year.
